"New Perspectives of Landscapes" is a collection of Timothy Huang's best works in recent years made during his travels. Each piece on show is tilted with the beauty of natural scenery and enriched by the artist's detailed observation and touch of humanity.
Timothy Huang has been enthusiastically exploring the distinction between traditional photography and digital photography of late. The exhibition indicates his efforts in utilizing digital technology to efficiently present works with a charming interplay of light and shadow and fully integrate his own ideas and spirit with the works.
Timothy Huang has always loved art since childhood. After coming in touch with art with his father, an art dealer, in 1976, Huang has experienced Chinese and Western painters, modern Japanese paintings and ancient Chinese ceramics.
Although Huang did not go to art school, he enjoys going to different kinds of exhibitions and thus has developed a strong appreciation skills; his works actually transcend boundaries and are more humane and grand. His artistic foundation is based on a constant reflection on Chinese culture and painting, while his techniques are based on the intellect in Western art.
